St Paul’s High School a pioneering institution in the field of secondary education in Veliyanad is the sole secondary school in Edakkattuvayalpanchayath situated in Kanayannoorthaluk,Ernakulam district .The school is named after St Paul, the apostle ,the zealous follower of Christ .Our motto is ‘’ from darkness to light ‘’ and our vision is ‘’ transformative education for fullness of life.
Established in 1937, the school is managed by Malankara Catholic Church under the diocese of Muvattupuzha.The school started functioning as a lower secondary school in an old building owned by aprivate party. It was HisExcellancyMar Xavarious bought the school for the Malankara Catholic Management from Sri Kurian Thaliyachirayil.Then the place was renovated with new buildings and a church .We cannot forget the arduousefforts of Rev.Fr. Jacob Thykkattil,The then Vicar of Piravomchurch,SriKunjuvarkeyKoottaplakkil ,Peringalil Joseph Sir and Sri T J Peter in the completion of works in 1942.When His Beatitude Rev.Dr.MarIvanios ,Arch Bishop of Trivandrum Arch Diocese visited the institution in 1948 gave his consent to upgrade the school in to a secondary school .The school has been functioning as high school from the academic year 1948.
The higher secondary section with science and commerce batches was added from the year 2014.The campus is set away from busy hustle and bustle of city life.
