ST Joseph’s & ST Cyril’s Higher Secondary School, affiliated to Kerala state Board is located in West Mangad near kunnamkulam. The school was established in 1930 .The school was initially a primary school and the name was LPS Mangad. The school upgraded to Upper primary in the year 1945 and became UPS Mangad. In 1981 Most Rev. Paulose Mar Philexinos, Bishop of Thiruvalla took over the manager ship of UPS Managd and have named the school as St. Joseph’s and St. Cyril’s U P School. In 1983 the school was again upgraded to the High School. In 2010 the raised to the final level status of St. Joseph’s and St. Cyril’s Higher Secondary School. Now the school has classes from LKG to Plus Two with 2-4 divisions. In plus two we have two streams: Science and Humanities. Presently we have 1100 students and 60 staff.
